Scandinavian Painting with Alan Pearson – Feb. 16 or March 2

We have had incredible interest in our horse classes. Due to this interest we have 2 carving classes. We will also be offering 2 painting classes to make sure everyone has the opportunity to finish their horse. The painting classes will be February 16 or March 2. You only need to attend one class.

Alan Pearson is frequent teacher of rosemaling at the Sons of Norway and at the Wahpeton Carving Weekend.  In our painting classes he will be teaching us how to paint our horses from the February classes.  If you don’t have a horse to paint, you can also bring in another small item.  We will not have time to do a full rosemaling project.

Due to the time constraints and the ease of use, Alan will be utilizing acrylic paints.  He will provide all the supplies needed.  If you have favorite brushes or specific colors you would like to use you may bring them as well.

Class will be 9:00-4:00. We will be breaking for lunch around noon. You may bring your lunch or there are nearby options for going out.

If you are attending the March 2nd class, we will be taking a break for the Red River Valley Wood Carvers club meeting at 10:00. You are welcome to join the meeting, or you may stay in the classroom area and work on your project.

Experience level: Beginner and up

Fees: $30.00 paid to the Red River Valley Woodcarvers (RRVWC)
$5.00  material fee paid to the instructor
